An antique silver-look metal buckle from the 1920s is embellished with sparkling drops of gold and grey faceted hematite beads. The pendant stays centered on the leather cord. It drops about 3.5 inches, and is about 1.25 inches wide. The smooth black and grey 4mm leather cord measures about 20 inches around. Silver-plated lobster clasp.

JEWELRY: My favorite metal is antiqued brass. All of my jewelry contains some brass, and occasionally sterling silver as well. Over time, some metal elements may develop a deeper tone. A gentle buffing with a jewelry polishing cloth will revive the luster and golden or silver highlights. Lay the piece flat on a towel, secure the metal part firmly with one hand, and buff the surface using gentle pressure.
SCARVES: All of my antique fabrics are laundered before being sewn. The scarves may be hand washed. Use a small amount of mild soap in lukewarm water. Roll in a towel to remove excess water, and dry flat. Press lightly with a warm iron.
