Tea-stained linen scarf with antique French fringe, handsewn with visible stitching

A lovely tea-stained scarf of vintage deep ochre printed 1960s linen—my pick of the moment. All hand-sewn and trimmed with antique French fringe. The visible hand stitching adds a bit of a rustic touch. Wear it loosely tied as shown. Pop it over the head and place it inside the open collar of a white shirt. Voila!

Care instructions

JEWELRY: My favorite metal is antiqued brass. All of my jewelry contains some brass, and occasionally sterling silver as well. Over time, some metal elements may develop a deeper tone. A gentle buffing with a jewelry polishing cloth will revive the luster and golden or silver highlights. Lay the piece flat on a towel, secure the metal part firmly with one hand, and buff the surface using gentle pressure.

SCARVES: All of my antique fabrics are laundered before being sewn. The scarves may be hand washed. Use a small amount of mild soap in lukewarm water. Roll in a towel to remove excess water, and dry flat. Press lightly with a warm iron.
