Natural indigo cotton scarf, antique Japanese fabrics

$195.00

East meets west in beautiful shades of natural indigo. This scarf is hand-sewn with Japanese woven cotton, the fabric originating from the 1930s. The plaid and print fabrics have patches, visible stitching and mends, and raw unfinished edges. The traditional width is approx. 14 inches wide between each selvedge, by a length of 57 inches. The scarf is folded in thirds and finished with a leather slide with a vintage silver-plated concho. Great with a denim jacket and a white shirt. Just pop it over your head, and you are good to go.

Frequently Asked Questions

Care instructions

JEWELRY: My favorite metal is antiqued brass. All of my jewelry contains some brass, and occasionally sterling silver as well. Over time, some metal elements may develop a deeper tone. A gentle buffing with a jewelry polishing cloth will revive the luster and golden or silver highlights. Lay the piece flat on a towel, secure the metal part firmly with one hand, and buff the surface using gentle pressure.

SCARVES: All of my antique fabrics are laundered before being sewn. The scarves may be hand washed. Use a small amount of mild soap in lukewarm water. Roll in a towel to remove excess water, and dry flat. Press lightly with a warm iron.
